Jay Merryweather || Project two Technique

Start with a simple drawing.

Add in color washes in Photoshop using watercolor brushes.  There are some good ones here:
Print this out.

Draw over your print using Copic markers and colored pencils.  Vary the color of your contour lines and deepen your colors where the edges meet.
Scan it back in when finished.

Add finishing touches adding brighter highlights in Photoshop and using the blending brush.
Done.
